Privacy Policy for Chrome Extensions

Who we are

Garage Rocket, a subsidiary of Tangent Method LLC, is a consumer product invention, design and development studio.

Personal information we collect

• We do not use Google Analytics, or any other analytics tools to track usage of the Extensions.
• If Chrome sync is enabled, Google may sync some of the extension settings between your browser installations.
• This paragraph only applies if the Extension you are using provides login functionality via Google or Dropbox. When you log-in to the Extension, we are provided certain information by the login provider – Dropbox or Google (the “File Providers”). This includes information about your display name, email address and profile photo. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Profile Information.”
• This paragraph only applies if the Extension you are using provides supporter donations using Ko-Fi or PayPal. When you make a donation through the Extension, Ko-Fi or PayPal may collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, billing zip code, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. PayPal only shares limited transaction related data with us – we refer to this information as “Order Information.”
• Subscription and supporter related paragraphs only apply if the Extension you are using provides supporter subscriptions. When you make a subscription purchase through the Extension or this site, Stripe may collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”
• For supporters, the Extension may store an irreversible, encrypted hash of your email address and File Provider name, alongside your Order Information to our server to enable syncing subscriptions with other browsers. The email address and File Provider are encrypted in the Extension before transmission to the server. We refer to this information as “Subscription Syncing Information.”
• When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking about Profile Information, Order Information and Subscription Syncing Information.

How do we use your personal information?

• We do not use the Order Information that we collect generally. We may use this Order Information if we are contacted by you, the user, for confirmation or cancellation of an order.
• Your Profile Information may be used to pre-fill fields in feedback forms when you use them from within the Extension or on this site. This information may be changed or removed by you before submitting the feedback form.
• The Subscription Syncing Information is only used for syncing subscription status across Chrome browsers where you are signed in. We do not use this information for any other purpose outside the Extension or the Subscription page of this site.
• We do not use the Profile Information outside of the Extension or this site for any other purposes.

Sharing your personal information

• We do not share your Personal Information with anyone.
• Subscription purchase inside the Extension or this site is provided by Stripe. You can read Stripe’s privacy policy here.

Your rights

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Data retention

• We do not collect or store any Chrome Profile Information outside the Extension. Any Profile Information provided when you login to the Extension is deleted when you logout from the Extension, or remove the Extension.
• When you place an order through the Extension or this site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
